Slashes and Curves

This painting was a lot of fun, experimenting with all types of brush strokes.  I’ve signed this painting with my newly made up symbol that I really like.  If you look closely at my more recent paintings, you’ll find it snuck in there.

Here is a photo of my signature symbol drawn out:

Glowinthedarkpainting

My brother recently got a set of super spy tools.  I was most fascinated with the “blacklight” which, I was quick to point out, is not black, but purple.  Apparently the light also extends into the unseen ultraviolet spectrum, but it looks purple to me.  The cool thing about this light is if I use fluorescent paints, the light makes them glow in the dark!  Super cool.  Momma let me try out some flourescent painting on a little 5 x 7 canvas.  It’s really cute and little.

I titled this painting aptly, ‘Glowinthedarkpainting’ – all one word, by choice.  In the light it is nice, but under a black light it glows!

Cross Guards

I started this painting with some green paint and water streams created with a water bottle.  You can see this effect through the “window” in the center of the painting.  I then surrounded that with big, bold strokes of green and gold.
